The program assists students in meeting challenging academic standards by funding academic enrichment and other out-of-school-time activities such as before- and after-school programs, weekends, and school breaks. It also supports opportunities for adult family members of participating students to engage in their children’s education and skill development. The page says eligible programs should serve Title I, schoolwide-eligible elementary, middle, and high schools with high concentrations of students with economic and academic needs.
